I have been receiving phone calls every night since I started my new blog on Wednesday, from my dear friend Elliott. He is one of the greatest singers (Baritone, with a beautiful vibrato) from Texas, and he knows French, Italian, German, Latin, and of course English.
First thing he always said to me is, "Jo-Han, you really need someone[me] to proofread your post before you publish it." He continued, "It is not quite professional yet; the wording is just elementary. I am not getting anything interesting from the blog."
I felt like the scene from Will & Grace, where Grace is told that she does not have any business skills (The Buying Game; Season 1, Episode 8)

For your information, Elliott LOVES Paula Deen. Yep, I can see how that lady really spoils him with her big love.
"But... I do have trouble writing Engrish!" I said, "I only have two hours in a coffee shop to organize pictures and write on my blog, and you know I don't have internet at my place."
Then he started going through the post of the day and pointed out the grammar errors and rephrased all my sentences on the phone. "What do you mean when you said the butternut squash makes the dish delightful? What's delightful about it?" "Well... you know, the sweetness from the butternut squash..." Maybe he is right, I need to pay more attention to the description.
"You know what, let the food speaks for itself", I finally said.
"That's the thing, we cannot taste the food. So you gotta write a good description and post beautiful pictures."
Does that mean that not only I need to hire a photographer, but also an English teacher?
Chicago's famous deep dish pizza!
Thanks to my dear friend, Elliott, for looking after my English. He is also one of my housemates for next year, and I am super excited about it! Maybe someday he can post a professional review of my food. Love Ya!
:)
That was adorable.
